Concert of peace 2022

This year traditional culture-music event “Concert of Peace 2022” will be dedicated to the war in Ukraine and people that leave their homes to find shelter all over Europe. We never expected war state so nearby in the 21th century and refugees in our country remind us that peace is not self-evident.

Organizers want to express our big request for peace and small contribution to education for peace with this concert. Four guest and music band Batista Cadillac will welcome you in warm atmosphere. Moderator Špela Mrak will held a conversation with Jaroslav Gavrilov from Rusia, owner of hostel in Kobarid, who organized several humanitarian actions to help Ukrainians. Our second guest will be Dr Vladimir Prebilič, mayor of Kočevje municipality, historian, defence expert and member of European association for help to Ukraine – ULEAD with Europe. Oleksandra Zadvorna, eleven-years-old Ukrainian girl from Kharkiv, who currently lives in Tolmin will share her song with us and experience how it was to leave her home. Mag. Tadej Koren, representative of Walk of Peace Foundation, will present multiyear cooperation between Slovenia and Ukraine on the topic of the Great War.
