Opening on sabotin and invitation to visit the museum

New information centre for visitors was opened on Sabotin – The Park of Peace on 14 April 2022. The new information centre is enriching the offer of three memorials on the Walk of Peace.

During the opening a meeting was held between the directors of The Kobarid Museum Martin Šolar, Walk of Peace Maša Klavora, The Tourist Board of Miren-Kostanjevica Ariana Suhadolnik, The Tourist Board of Nova Gorica and Vipava Valley Erika Lojk and The Tourist Board of Brda Tina Samec. They bound themselves to continue with the joint promotion and preservation of the cultural heritage of the Great War and to continue with their initiatives to make presentation of the cultural heritage and remains of the Isonzo front kind and accessible to the visitors. The Kobarid Museum, Sabotin – The Park of Peace and The Monument of Peace Cerje in 2022 continue with their promotional activity with which they contribute to the understanding of the causes and consequences of the Great War and the events on the Isonzo front alongside The Walk of Peace. When you buy a ticket in one of the memorials, you get 20 % discount for the entrance to the other two.

The Kobarid Museum invites you to visit the museum also in the Easter time. We are open every day from 9:00 to 18:00! To visit the museum facemasks are not required anymore, but recommended.
