Summer in the Kobarid Museum

On Saturday, 21. June 2025, exactly on the summer solstice and the first day of the summer, there will be the 23rd edition of the Summer museum night, which is the biggest promotional action of Slovenian museums, galleries and other institutions, which are working on cultural heritage, art, culture and history. The Kobarid Museum is once again taking part in it. Thus on this very day you can visit us for free between 18.00 and 24.00, we also prepared a guided tour in english language, which will be at 19.30. For the sake of easier organisation, reservations for the guided tour would be greatly appreciated ( or +386 41 714 072). 

We would also like to inform you that we are passing on the summer opening hours. From 22. June onwards, the museum will be open every day from 9.00 until 19.00. Beside the temporary exhibition “I was a prisoner of war” and the exhibition “ Sow peace and not hate”, made by the students of elementary school “Simon Gregorčič” of Kobarid, you can also visit our permanent exhibition, which was enriched lately. In cooperation with the Museo Storico Italiano della Guerra from Rovereto we obtained some new objects on loan, which were already incorporated in our permanent exhibition.
