SUMMER OPENING HOURS – every day from 9.00 until 19.00

Dear visitors of Soča valley!

Long summer days are ideal for visiting Kobarid Museum in early evenings. To make this possible, the museum will be open from 9.00 to 19.00 from June soltsice, 21.6.2024, onwards. 

Beside permanent exhibition, visitors can also see a temporary exhibition »Supply lines – arteries of the Isonzo front« and an exhibition of the Park of military history Pivka »Field hospital – Feldspital 808 and its chapel in Kosovelje na Krasu«.

We would like to remind you about different benefits and discounts as a part of the programme of joint offers in the region of Julian Alps. The Kobarid Museum is a part of the Julian Alps - Soča Valley and Bohinj card. Holders of the cards have a free entrance to the museum. Furthermore, with the Gost Gorij card visitors have 10 % discount on the entrance to the museum. Same discount applies with the waterfall Kozjak receipt. Museum and Vintgar gorge have reciprocal discount of 10 % for the visitors of one of the monuments. You can buy a joint ticket for so called “The best museums of the Julian Alps” – The Kobarid Museum and Slovenian Alpine Museum, where 10 % discount is valid on the entrance ticket visiting both museums. For the visitors of The Kobarid Museum, The Monument of Peace Cerje and Peace Park on Sabotin 20 % of the discount applies.
