The Kobarid Museum Day 2021
Every October we celebrate in The Kobarid Museum. 20 October 2021 on the anniversary of beginning of The Kobarid Museum, we prepared traditional solemn event The Day of The Kobarid Museum. We prepared the event after two-year pause because of the pandemic.
In a nice ambient of the big hall of the museum we have met with distinguished guests, founders of the museum, loyal visitors, supporters, employees and guides of the museum. Klemen Langus moderated the event and recited a poem To the River Soča by Simon Gregorčič. Young musicians from Music School of Tolmin complemented the cultural part of the event. The director of the museum presented activities of the museum in the last two years and showed new audio-visual presentations of the museum, which were funded through the Programme for rural development and with funds of European agricultural funds for rural development.
Solemn speaker at the event was Jernej Hudolin the director of Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia. In his speech, he presented the view of Ministry of Culture and other public institutions in area of cultural heritage on 30 years of activities of The Kobarid Museum. At the end of the event, we opened a new temporary exhibition “Hurra! Avanti Savoia!” The changes that the war brought about. The author of the exhibition is museum’s curator Jaka Fili.
